YMCA of Kanawha Valley offers various options that improve the health and well-being of community members. Our health and fitness centers offer modern equipment, along with a clean and safe workout environment. We have numerous group fitness classes and offer several forms of personal training, led by certified experts.

Charleston Family YMCA

VINYASA YOGA
An active yoga class with a steady flow of coordinated postures, breath work and continuous movement.
Tuesdays 10:30 – 11:30 am

FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH YOGA
Experience an active and moving type of yoga designed to help your body feel biologically younger.
Mondays 4:30 – 5:25 pm

HATHA YOGA
This basic yoga class will explore various postures and will increase your strength and flexibility as it relieves stress.

MAT PILATES
This training method improves flexibility and strength for the entire body, without adding bulk.

Y members are able to reserve a bike for a full session for only $5! Non-members are able to participate by buying a day pass or registering for the full session for $70.

A beginner spin class that will introduce indoor cycling to new spinners.

An interval spin class that simulates outdoor terrains. “Rock and Ride” to great music as you climb hills and jump obstacles and race to the finish.

Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi has now evolved into a graceful form of exercise that’s used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle flowing movements.

PEIA WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

YMCA of the Kanawha Valley offers PEIA Weight Management Program at its Charleston Family YMCA location. For $20 a month you get an exercise physiologist, a personal trainer, and a registered dietitian. In addition, you have access to the facility, which includes racquetball courts, two gymnasiums, fitness classes, pool, sauna, hot tub, and a fully equipped fitness center. There is no better time than now and no excuses to keep you from coming.
