NFL Punt, Pass & Kick at YMCA
A preliminary competition for the free NFL PUNT, PASS & KICK (PPK) program will be held Sept. 19, 3:00 p.m. at the Charleston Family YMCA.
PPK is a national skills competition for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 to compete separately against their peers. Established in 1961, the PPK program is the oldest NFL Youth Football program.
Girls and boys in five separate age divisions (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14-15) compete against each other in punting, passing and place kicking in a fun and engaging forum.
With thousands of boys and girls from around the country taking part in PPK competitions every year from May through January, it is one of the world’s largest youth sports participation programs.
The top performers at the Sept. 19 competition will advance to the sectional, hosted by YMCA of Kanawha Valley on Oct. 3, 10:00 a.m. at University of Charleston Stadium.
We could use some help on Sept. 19 and Oct. 3: at our registration table, taking distance measurements and scoring. If you’re game message firstname.lastname@example.org or call coordinator Kerri Wagner at (304) 340-3527 x 1136.
