The YMCA of Kanawha Valley is a charitable, non-profit committed to helping all people grow in spirit, mind and body, regardless of their circumstances. Our Community Assistance Program offers flexibility in fees to assure as many children, adults and families as possible can gain access to a YMCA membership and to the programs and classes offered. Childcare parents must provide a denial letter from CONNECT or LINK before consideration will be given for reduced childcare rates.

The Community Assistance Program, also referred to as our Scholarships, offers a sliding fee schedule designed to fit each individual’s financial situation. For example, a family of four with a household income of $60,000 or less can receive some type of support.

The YMCA is comprised of people of all ages and from every walk of life, all working side-by-side to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to live life to its fullest. Values are placed on caring, honesty, respect and social responsibility and the entire organization stems from this. This platform helps to develop stronger, more integrated communities, providing support for people and families and that promote positive changes overall.

Last year, the YMCA of Kanawha Valley Community Assistance Program provided over $250,000 for access to child care, programs and activities for children and adults.

Security procedures are tested and reviewed on a regular basis.

Membership Agreement

YMCA membership is a continuous membership plan. I understand that this membership will remain in effect for as long as I retain the membership card issued to me. I further understand that membership dues are non-refundable. Membership cards are the property of the YMCA and must be surrendered upon demand. It is my complete understanding that if I wish to terminate or change my membership in any way, I must give the YMCA a 30-day written notice to stop my draft. All membership rates are subject to change with 30 days written notice. I understand it is my responsibility to notify the YMCA of any change in address, bank account information (if utilizing bank draft for payment of dues) or credit card information / expiration date (if utilizing credit card for payment of dues).
