The YMCA of Kanawha Valley is proud to introduce the Radiant Resilience Collective, a transformative program designed to empower women who are currently battling cancer or have triumphed as survivors. This supportive, group-based initiative focuses on rebuilding physical strength while nurturing mental and emotional resilience in a warm and uplifting environment.
The Benefits of Participation
Research has shown that cancer patients and survivors who engage in physical activity experience higher survival rates and an improved quality of life. The Radiant Resilience Collective is uniquely designed to help participants:
Regain strength and stamina
Improve balance and coordination
Reduce fatigue and stress
Increase energy levels
Learn safe and effective exercise techniques
Build confidence in movement and daily activities
Connect with a community of women who share similar experiences
Every class takes place in a private room with sterilized equipment, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. All energy levels are accommodated—whether participants are fully engaging in movement or need to take a seated approach, their presence is what matters most.
Strength Renewed
The Strength Renewed class, a core component of the Radiant Resilience Collective, offers a structured yet flexible approach to fitness and well-being.
Led by experienced instructors, this 45-minute class includes low-impact, strength-building exercises tailored to all fitness levels. Whether actively engaging in movement or simply being present for support, every participant is encouraged to join at her own pace. This class provides a welcoming space where women can focus on self-empowerment, confidence-building, and steady physical progress.
When: Wednesdays at 5:30 PM (starting March 5th)
Where: Noffsinger Room, Charleston Family YMCA
Duration: 45 minutes
Participants will experience a warm, uplifting group atmosphere where they can find camaraderie, understanding, and inspiration. Together, we will lift weights, spirits, and each other—because strength is not just about muscles; it’s about living boldly and confidently every single day.
